The Monkey Katana is Chinese zodiac animal themed full-size samurai sword, fully differentiated from bamboo literati, peach blossom feminine, pomegranate dark maki-e and koi aquatic sword series. Centered on hand-carved monkey and sparrow two-tone copper hand guard, it targets zodiac collectors, retro oriental study display and vintage animal art gifts.
The blade adopts premium T10 high carbon steel with traditional Tsuchioki clay differential tempering craft, forming neat choji clove continuous wave hamon, standard shinogi-zukuri profile without blood groove, clear embossed yokote line, classic kissaki tip, multi-stage taganeha mirror polishing and factory light sharp edge. This blade is only designed for slow static drawing appreciation; heavy cutting and violent friction will scratch delicate temper grain and are strictly prohibited.
The complete mounting set is vintage two-tone brown copper alloy hardware with 3D monkey & sparrow relief carving, including dual-sided carved tsuba, gold leaf patterned fuchi & kashira, tiny golden leaf menuki and solid copper habaki/seppa washers. The oval imogata grip uses genuine natural ray skin inner lining wrapped with thick black moro-hineri cotton ito. Scabbard is solid hardwood coated high-gloss black lacquer with scattered white speckle texture, matched black-white mixed braided cotton sage cord.
