Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between Sanbonsugi and regular Gunome hamon?
A: Sanbonsugi forms three stacked cedar-shaped wave temper lines, more layered and classical than single semicircle gunome; Notarekomi boshi adds soft curved tip hamon for richer blade visual effect.
Q: What advantages does single hi blood groove bring?
A: Single full blood groove reduces overall blade weight, lowers wind resistance during drawing and swinging, perfect for long-time iaido form practice without arm fatigue.
Q: What is Imogata handle different from standard flat tsuka?
A: Imogata is oval curved handle shape, fits palm contour better for more comfortable grip, red wrap creates striking contrast with black crackle sheath for display aesthetics.
Q: Why this sword is non-detachable full tang?
A: Integrated non-detachable tang structure eliminates loose fittings risk for long-term static display, ideal collectors who only place sword on stand without frequent disassembly maintenance.
Q: Can I customize unique patterns on blade?
A: Yes, add extra $30 exclusive blade carving service, design personalized text or patterns, visit Custom Katana page for full custom solutions.
