Genie Katana | Budget T10 Maru No-Hi Gunome Hamon Functional Samurai Sword
Product Introduction
The Genie Katana is a cost-effective entry-level functional samurai sword priced at $319.99, specially designed for sword beginners, Iaido practitioners and daily tameshigiri cutting training. The blade adopts T10 high-carbon maru mono steel without blood groove (No Hi), processed by traditional Tsuchi clay differential tempering to form classic continuous Gunome semicircle wave hamon. The blade features fake decorative yokote and standard shinogizukuri profile, full fine mirror polishing, and optional fully sharpened functional edge for real cutting practice.
All metal fittings including tsuba, fuchi, kashira, menuki and habaki are solid copper with gold & silver plating, carved with elegant flowing water wave patterns. The tsuka handle uses genuine ray skin core wrapped with traditional moro-hineri-maki black silk ito for stable non-slip grip. The solid hardwood saya adopts pure black high-gloss lacquer finish, matched with thick woven cotton sageo binding cord. The sword adopts fully disassemblable full tang construction fixed by two bamboo mekugi pegs, convenient for daily cleaning and blade maintenance. The total weight is only 1.4KG, desheathing weight 1.2KG, light balance suitable for long-time beginner practice.
