The blade adopts T10 high-carbon maru mono solid steel, forged via traditional Tsuchioki clay differential temper craft, forming neat rounded Gunome continuous wave hamon, no blood groove shinogizukuri blade profile, full fine hand polishing and factory pre-sharpened functional cutting edge for light bamboo & tatami training only.
The complete koshirae set is matte uncarved solid copper including tsuba, fuchi, kashira, menuki, seppa and habaki. The oval imogata tsuka uses genuine natural ray skin inner lining wrapped with classic moro-hineri cotton silk, stable anti-slip grip for long-time practice. The scabbard is solid wood matte paint finish equipped with full solid ox horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri sheath fittings, matched thick coarse cotton sage binding cord.
